Kurt Devonshire is a writer, director and producer from London, UK, recently graduated from the New York Film Academy with a Master's in Screenwriting. He is currently based on the East Coast of the USA, working between Maine and NYC. He is a Candidate Member of The Writers' Guild of Great Britain, as well as a member of The Guild of Television Camera Professionals.

Kurt developed his interest in the motion picture and television industry after entering a short film in Campus Movie Fest in 2014. The following year, he won several awards, including a selection for screening at Festival de Cannes 2016 for his film, Locksmith (2015).

 

Kurt now specializes in writing both feature length films and television series, with several of his works currently in development with different production companies. 

 

He is dedicated to creating captivating, original and innovative stories. He believes the importance of storytelling is unparalleled because of how it affects our lives with the emotions they elicit.

Kurt also brings a wealth of experience several different roles within film production, with a focus on writing, directing and producing. Other areas where he has become skilled include cinematography, editing and acting. ​ ​

 

Kurt practices his craft every single day, whether it be reading, writing or taking a camera out and shooting.
